It’s goal time. I’ve got a few things I want to get done, and some are a bit of a stretch:
- Finish that baby blanket – it’s been slowly coming together when Little Man naps. If I try to crochet when he’s awake, he comes over and tries to grab the crochet hook, pulls the yarn and knots it up, and just interferes too much for me to get anything done.
- Apply to serve on my sorority’s National Council – I’ve always wanted to do this, and figure now is as good a time as ever. The worst that could happen is that I don’t get slated (very good possibility of this, due to all incumbents running again), or if I do get slated, don’t get the votes to make it. This will be a good run to get used to the process, see how the nominations committee works as a candidate, and work on my fear of public speaking. I’m almost done with my cover letter; Squatch is going to read over it for me before I submit it by the end of the week.
- Sew Little Man’s ghost costume – It’s all cut out, I have to sew the hems and then the seams of the under arms, sides, and connect the hood to the rest of it. It should not take too long. The MIL is going to pull out the sewing machine for me later today.
- Take my UW course on parliamentary procedure – This will help me refresh, and learn some aspects I am not familiar with. Once I’m a Registered Parliamentarian, I can get my side gig started!
- NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month is each November. This year, I’m going to attempt the crazy goal of writing 50,000 words in a month! I’ve got a story that I started years ago, and am going to dust it off, start over, and see if I can get it done!
