Book Review | The Wolf’s Eye

The Wolf’s Eye by Luanne G. Smith

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book 2 in the Order of the Seven Stars series, it picks up right where the first left off.
Petra, Yanis, Josef, and Viktor are fresh out of battle with Ava Konig, the woman who created the “werewolves” of this series. Josef is out of the elixir he needs to keep from going “full werewolf,” and Yanis alerts the team that there is a kill order out for all werewolves, Josef included.
Instead of heading back to the front, per orders, they instead head to the city, hoping to find a cure.
We run into characters old and new and learn more about Petra’s father and his gold experiments.
I enjoyed the story but wish there had been a bit more fleshing out of Martina, Augustus, and Franz. Their connection to Viktor (and Petra’s father) was explained, but it felt unfulfilled, even when Martina explained more of her backstory towards the end.
If you enjoy magic, witches, werewolves, and alchemy, check this story out (after you read The Witch’s Lens, the first in the series!).
