That’s right. This week, I’m a Pirate Queen…A Pirate GIF Queen, to be more specific.

Lettie…What in the world are you talking about?! Last week, it was “be a dog.” Now you want to be a pirate? Oh ho ho, my friends…This past week has just been amazing to watch as the cryptocurrency Arrr (Pirate Coin) rose in price to almost $20/Arrr. Folks…a week ago, this crypto coin was at about $2.50/Arrr. Two weeks ago, it was around 40 center/Arrr. I mean, Friday, it almost hit $20, before settling in around $8 for the weekend.

I am by no means an expert in cryptocurrencies, and just barely know the basics of it all. But I think it is interesting to watch how this all unfolds. I found out about Arrr last fall when Jack Spirko from The Survival Podcast mentioned it. I took notice, and then promptly filed it away in the “various cryptos” section of my brain. He has had Draeth on the podcast three times now, to explain it, and the reason behind creating a privacy coin. Now…privacy coin piqued my interest. Unlike Bitcoin or Ethereum, which you can only buy through CoinBase or TradeOgre, which require KYC (Know Your Customer), and want a ton of information about you, the buyer, Arrr doesn’t need all that information.

You can go online, buy BTC, and then trade it for Arrr. You can do an OTC (over the counter) transaction with another person, paying via Venmo or PayPal, or even some other form of crypto, and you get your Arrr. There really isn’t anything to identify the purchase to you. So very interesting to hear about.

Anywho…I said Pirate GIF Queen, right? I have earned all my Arrr playing a stupidly ridiculous game called “Gifs Against Huge Manatees” over on Discord. Whoever wins the game wins a tip of some amount of Arrr. Hell…2 weeks ago, we were tipping 1 or 2…even 10 Arrr to the winners. Now, we’ve gone down to about .5 or .1 for a winner, just because the value has skyrocketed. Arrr has a monetary value, and you can use it to transact with others. It’s creating a whole new economy, just like Bitcoin did when it first came out. And the best part….you can earn it just sitting at home, leaving Discord open. Some people are generous and will “rain” amounts of Arrr on the active users; talk about “passive income,” you can make money just sitting around with your computer on.

OK…enough about Arrr. Little Man and I had so much fun this past week. We got a lot of cuddling in, and went to several parks. We found one nearby; it’s newer, so I’ve never been there before. I really enjoyed it, as did Little Man. There was so much to climb up on; that’s all he did for the half hour we were there! He was just “so climby today!” as he kept telling me.

The garden is doing AMAZING you guys. I don’t have any pictures, cuz…slacker! But I have gotten a few HUGE salads from the AeroGarden. And MOST of my transplants have done AMAZING. I did have to say goodbye to three or so. They just did not thrive, so may they rest in peace. But I’ve still got A TON of other veg that are growing and thriving.
