I Have Created Life!!!

I Have Created Life!!!

I’m so excited, y’all.

This was the third week of my AeroGarden experiment. My lettuce is growing so well! Moving the table to be next to the couch has made a world of a difference. There were definitely issues with it being right next to the door and the heat register. The salad greens growing on one side are still a bit sad, and nowhere near as large as the other, but they have truly improved this week.

Last Saturday, I also re-seeded most of my little peat pods in the tiny greenhouse. When I watered them, I included some of the AeroGarden plant food. Within a few days, I had Dill germinated. Then another Echinacea, and a ton of Chamomile. I’ve even got a little volunteer Chamomile growing off the side of one pod!

Saturday morning, Little Man and I came downstairs and checked it out. We found two new Dill plants had sprouted up overnight, as well as Lavender started to peek through. The only pods I have not had any germination success with are the two I planted with Lemon Balm. I will give them some more time; see how they do.

I did share some pictures on the TSP Discord server, because I had questions before about the AeroGarden. I found out that the reason my Dill collapsed last time around, is because they were “leggy,” and reaching for the light. I got some tips to raise my little greenhouse up. Hopefully this will help the Dill, and give them a bit more of a base to work with before they start really growing up. I love having this community of people to bounce ideas off of, and just soak up all of the knowledge.

Last week, we had a big snowstorm, dropping about 7.5″ of snow Monday night through Tuesday afternoon. I got to play with the snowblower several times Tuesday, clearing the driveway, patio, and sidewalks. We’ve another storm this Saturday and Sunday, and are expecting another 6-9″, so I’m ready to get out there again and shovel and snowblow!

I do have to say, I’ve been a bit achy all week; I worked some muscles I didn’t know were there. I also did something to my right knee; not sure what, but I’ve been resting it, wearing a brace, and doing some ice and heat treatments. We shall see how it goes.

Don’t forget to follow my page over on MeWe. I do regular quick updates over there, including sharing Odysee links to videos. And the podcast is also a thing. You can find it on several podcast players, and I’m uploading the audio to Odysee, as well. Be sure to check out each week’s episode of The 80s Mom podcast, and see what Rae, Cecily and I are discussing. Lastly, if you are somewhat interested in Parliamentary Procedure, I’ve started a podcast covering a multitude of topics; most recently how to get a committee meeting back on track.
