Weekly Round Up

Weekly Round Up

I honestly don’t know what is going on. These past two weeks I have just felt off. At first I thought it was because I was used to 7 weeks of freedom, letting Little Man run around and do what he wanted, plenty of time for just the two of us, and no one constantly carping on him being a regular toddler, and that I was back here up Nort and didn’t have any of that. I had a long talk with Squatch last weekend, and felt a lot better about things, and we are on the same page about a lot, and are putting plans into motion to get out of his parent’s house and back on our own (more details to come on this as they are finalized!!!)

This week though, it has been the same. I am anxious, edgy, and constantly biting my tongue. I keep finding myself getting annoyed at little things. I feel the stress I’m carrying in my back and shoulders, and I just feel tight all over. I took yesterday off from blogging to just enjoy naptime and relax with Little Man, but it only helped a little bit. My FIL fixed the “Kazuki,” so I can now get my Escape out, and the Wisconsin State Supreme Court has said that the Governor’s extension of his “Safer at Home” order was unconstitutional, so I’m planning on getting Little Man out and about next week! This has given me some relief, but there is something else that I have not figured out yet that is bugging me.

I will be taking this weekend off of the blogging, not only to do a deep dive and figure out why I’m feeling so off, but also to celebrate Little Man. He’s turning 2 this weekend! Yay!!!

Anyway, this week we’ve been going out each afternoon and exploring the yard and walking down the road. Little Man is amazed at the plants and flowers that are growing along the front of the house, and he loves to investigate each day and see how much they have all grown. Granpa took us on a quick trip in the Kazuki yesterday; we drove down to the river and back to the house, and he took us up along the game trail around the back. Little Man’s face was so amazing during this ride; he was just grinning from ear to ear and laughing the whole time. I’ve had a taste for Chicken Piccata for a while now, so last night, MIL and I made Chicken Piccata for the first time! It was absolutely delicious, and definitely going to be making a regular appearance in my chicken recipe rotation.

Tomorrow, I’ve got to run into town to pick up a few last-minute things, and then I’m going to be baking Little Man’s birthday cake. I’ll share pictures of it here next week, so keep an eye out.

Lastly, I’ve decided to just go to blogging 3 days a week. I’m really trying to get my side hustle up and running, and need more time to dedicate to it. I will give y’all some updates on here about how it is going, but it will definitely require more of my attention. Hope you’re all doing well and keeping busy!

Until next week…
