It’s May Day! We’ve made it through April, and are now into May. That means it’s almost summertime!

I have to say, after my post the other day about the lack of progress on, well, anything around here, but especially the garden, stuff got done yesterday. MIL decided she was tired of FIL monkey-dinking around and not doing anything, so she sent him outside to get the hothouse for the seeds done. Squatch was dispatched to give a helping hand, and after he left, MIL went out to get the last few bits and pieces done. We now have a finished (almost) hothouse. After naptime today, I’ll go out there and prime and paint the thing, since FIL wants it done, and I love to paint.

Little Man and I have taken a ton of walks around the property this week. Poor thing got some scratches today on his foot and leg, so the Witch Hazel was pulled out to swipe over it. He loves being back here, and we have been looking for animals as we’ve been out. We’ve seen a ton of rabbits, found an itty bitty frog, and come across deer prints on the road.

I’ve done some kitchen work this week. MIL and I made meatballs, spaghetti, and garlic bread Tuesday night. Yesterday I pulled out my Sloppy Joe recipe. They were so delicious, and a nice change. I’ve also been drinking tea like crazy. I had my whole pot finished by 9 this morning!
