Weekends…

I pulled out one of my favourite dishes to make this weekend. Sloppy Joe’s are towards the top of my list of faves, and while I love Chunky Manwich, I know my FIL would not eat it. Luckily, my cousin shared her homemade Joe’s recipe with me years ago. Even Squatch, who is not a fan of Sloppy Joe’s, enjoyed these! Little Man also eats them, which makes things so much easier at dinner.

This weekend took quite an interesting turn, as my MIL asked me about making her a Facebook business page, to sell her crafts. I quickly sat down, and set up the page. Now, we just have to go through everything she currently has made, photograph it all, and decide on prices. We will only sell local; finding boxes to fit these things will not be easy, especially her wreaths. She is of the mindset that bigger is better, and these wreaths, well, let’s just say that they are not at all my style; big, fluffy, lights, glitter (oh my lord, the glitter). I do know that people out there like them, I’ve seen smaller versions for sale at the stores, so here is hoping we can get some of them out of the basement and onto other people’s doors!

FIL was busy out in the barn this weekend; his 5th wheel is getting sold, so he has been making room in the barn for Squatch and I to park our cars through the winter. He did follow through on a project he has had in mind since we first moved up here: he replaced the fabric on my front door panels of my Escape. The pleather that had been on there started to fall off last year, and the glue Squatch and I tried (we tried so many different glues) did not work, so I just had them taped on. FIL helped us pull them off the week we moved up here, and they have just been sitting there, naked, ever since. Now, I don’t drive my vehicle much anymore; it’s been several weeks since I’ve started it up, and I need to find the title to take it to the DMV and switch it and the registration to Wisconsin, so the fact that it was not done has mostly escaped me. Well, it is fixed now, and I have some awesome black with white feathers fabric on them. I know, you’re all super jealous at my awesomeness.

Going forward, I will not be posting on here daily. I am committing to NaNoWriMo this year, and will be working on a novel. 50,000 words in 30 days is going to be quite the undertaking. I will be checking in on here, and sharing recipes, etc., but I will most likely only be doing 2 posts per week. Check me out on FaceBook or MeWe though, as I will be sharing updates on both of those mediums.
